Fennel Seed Oleoresin [ Botanical Name of Raw Material: Foeniculum vulgare dulce ] Fennel is the seed of the tree belonging to the family of Myristicaceae. The dark brown liquid has the characteristic odor and flavor of Sweet Fennel. known as Fenkle in the Middle Ages, its name is from the Latin 'foenum' meaning 'hay'. The ancients believed it gave one longevity, courage and strength, and warded off evil spirits. Not only did they use it to strengthen the eyesight, but also for snakebite, colic, and fleas. NUTMEG EXTRACTION METHODOLOGY : The method of solvent extraction uses a separation solvent, which is generally non-volatile has a high boiling point and is miscible with the mixture, but doesn’t form an isotropic mixture as a medium to extract essential active elements from spices.Solvent extraction is used to recover the active ingredients from the raw materials.
